Community Trainings + Coalition Meetings

Upcoming Community Trainings

We are proud to serve our community by offering these crucial trainings to anyone interested in learning how to help a neighbor, friend, or loved one who may be struggling.

Prevention Trainings on
Gambling, Suicide, + Opioid Use

The following coalitions meet monthly in the Amplify Community Room and are open to members of our community who are interested in joining forces with us in spreading awareness on prevention.

Gambling Prevention Awareness: Learn about the differences between responsible and problem gambling, the impact that problem gambling can have on individuals and their families, and how to start the conversation and provide support. At the end of the training, you will receive a certificate of completion and a communication tip sheet to help you talk with members of your community about problem gambling.

Naloxone (Narcan) Training: In naloxone administration training you’ll learn overdose prevention strategies, knowing the signs and symptoms of opioid overdose, how to administer Narcan, and understanding the Good Samaritan Law. Upon completion, attendees will receive a FREE Narcan kit.

QPR Suicide Prevention: QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training gives you the skills and knowledge to intervene to possibly prevent suicide.
